Experience
20+ years of building, from signals to systems to startups.
Career
VP, Network Architecture
Leading the team building software and hardware for decentralized telecom infrastructure. Integral in launching the Helium Mobile MVNO: negotiated the original T-Mobile contract, planned and led the build of MVNO backend systems, and led integration with the T-Mobile wholesale telco core.
- ▸ Built Wi-Fi offload network from 0 to 3.5M+ daily users in 18 months
- ▸ Led MVNO backend build: customer management, SIM/eSIM provisioning, inventory, fraud detection, cost optimization, regulatory compliance
- ▸ Leading WBA project to reshape carrier offload with tier-1 US carriers
- ▸ Building AI-friendly MCP interfaces for AI-driven network analysis
- ▸ 5 new patent applications filed on blockchain-telecom convergence
Co-Founder & CTO
Co-founded the company that brought CBRS and Wi-Fi to the Helium network via open-source private cellular infrastructure. Acquired by Nova Labs in 2022.
- ▸ Built the company from concept to acquisition
- ▸ Developed open-source CBRS small cell platform
- ▸ Bridged traditional telecom with blockchain-based incentive models
- ▸ Led technical strategy and product development
Distinguished Technologist & Director of 3GPP Standardization
Published researcher and standards body leader. Drove innovation in vRAN, CoMP, LTE/WiFi coexistence, and DOCSIS network optimization. Led standardization work across 3GPP, WFA, WBA, TIP, O-RAN, and DOCSIS/SCTE.
- ▸ Granted 45+ U.S. patents during tenure
- ▸ Published research on vRAN, CoMP over DOCSIS, CoDel AQM, WiFi coexistence
- ▸ Led 3GPP standardization delegation
- ▸ Active contributor and leadership roles in WBA, WFA, TIP, O-RAN Alliance
- ▸ Held various positions, culminating in Distinguished Technologist & Director of 3GPP Standardization
Network Architect
Built an all-IP linear video + VOD cable TV-like service provider. Led set-top box HW/SW development (chip selection with Broadcom, ODM negotiation, integration, and deployment). Full video headend from satellite feeds through encoding, ABR packaging, and Wi-Fi-based IP set-top boxes with QoS.
- ▸ Led set-top box development from chip selection to deployment
- ▸ Built full video headend: satellite feeds → encoding → ABR packaging → delivery
- ▸ Designed Wi-Fi-based IP set-top boxes with QoS for reliable in-home delivery
